Yup on the Kvelertak opening. I'm pretty pumped, I just hate the fact that Portland has the worst metal "crowd" in the world. No one gets amped for bands, it's just a bunch of hipsters standing around drinking IPA's.

Tugnut played a basement here in Vancouver a few years ago and that was a fun crowd! In fact between 2007 and 2010 Vancouver was a metal hotbed. Always killer shows downtown. Now it's all cover bands and karaoke again, though.

There are sometimes good crowds. Slayer @ Roseland a few years ago was rad. Lots of boobies everywhere.

i love it....it was mounted to my cross bike in the video above.
very stable...that road in the video is hella rough, and it did a great job....i've never thought i was gonna break a fork before, but right around the 2:30+ mark, i was questioning the strength of a carbon steerer.....

I also record in 720 (at 60fps, feels smoother than 30) and here is a typical day for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO8Qy...ature=youtu.be
How did your footage with the silver compare? Was it failing with image stabilization?
For bike mounts I have tried a few now - I currently am using the gopro handlebar mount, but I've mounted it to the head tube instead. I just cut up a tube to protect the paint a bit, seems to be okay. The advantage is that I get a slightly more stable view once I disengaged from the handlebars.

Went out with a friend and some of his co-workers for some drinks and food for a pre-Turkey day celebration. Enjoyed the temp drop riding home last night, cept for when I got home my hands were all tingly from no gloves. Looks like it may be time to break out the cold weather gear.
Not really looking forward to today. Thanksgiving location for my family changed houses around last minute and 4 aditional family members showed up last minute as well. Kind of want to just go ride for the day and do my own personal thing for it.

Knocked out a quick thirty miles when waiting for turkey day celebrations, no matter what I do my feet always get frozen. Wool socks + Shoe covers and within 10 miles I can't feel my feet.

Still kicking.
So not only did I get in a street ride this morning, I also put in 45 minutes on the trainer just to take the edge off and got the surly ready for a road ride tomorrow.

Non + black is on sale now for $250 at Best Buy. I bought one, I couldn't see a reason for spending an additional $150 for the +. I don't think I'll notice the minor differences.

Havent been on here for a while! Two weeks ago I raced my first alleycat. I got spanked because I got lost. Knowing the city you are racing is a huge advantage. It was fun though.
Last weekend the shop I ride for let me borrow a Surly Pug Ops for a fatbike race. It followed along a 75% dry river bed (mostly sand a rock section and some frozen puddles). It was a toasty 17º really dark night. The course was a fun 2 mile loop with a couple of jumps off of littered tractor tires filled with sand. We started a bonfire when we got there and left the whiskey too close to the fire. After we passed the bottle around and found the temperature to be roughly 123º we took two warm up laps. On the second lap the race promoter and course designer hit a dead tree stump and yard-saled. It was one of the worst crashes I have ever seen, the fact it was on a fat bike multiplied how bad it looked by 40. Literally, he flew 14 feet over the bars to his chest/face. Once we got him up and realized he was moderately OK we all skipped the race and drank around the fire. From time to time we would do a couple more laps. It was an absolutely great night. Fat bikes are soooooo much fun.
