I have always liked the look of a stainless cap on carbon steel. When you see them in the field after they have aged, the contrasting color of the brownish oxidized base and the still shiny cap make it look like a cool scar of some sort.

Back in the day we used a 780 stick to make the cap.

Today I decided to show my face around here, again. It's been a weird start to the year and my bike time and motivation for bike-related things was at an all-time low. Bouncing back, though.

Hi, everyone.

And today, less than a mile from my house, I took a nail straight through a brand new Conti gator skin. Fug.

No, getting it repaired then going to start seriously looking for a new car, that and I needed to get back to work.

Haven't been on the bike in forever, with all the snow piled on the sides of the road it is way to dangerous to ride on the streets in this area. Trying to even drive has been crazy.

Today I dropped all the things at work. Never felt so clumsy. Off to the gym now, I'll probably drop a dumbbell on my foot.

Don't live in the city. Rent across the bay is easily half the cost for twice the space. Takes about an hour and 10 bucks round trip to ride BART from any end to any end.

The SF Bay is pretty damn big, but it is very connected.
