Today I was like, I can eat ice cream every day if I want to. Turns out I don't want to.
Also started planning my vacation for the fall. I plan on hitting San Francisco, Portland and Seattle on a hobo bus trip up the coast. Not bringing bikes cause ain't nobody got time for that, but should be fun if I can make it work.

Nope, not driving. Will definitely look into Bolt. Greyhound has some pretty cheap fares as well, and I'm probably splitting my tickets between cities since I want to spend a few days in each town. Also open to hostel recommendations if anyone knows.

That just depends on how serious one is about playing by the rules.

today i really want to go on a bike ride but i'm stuck waiting for my deadbeat landlord to come fix the ****ing shower faucet. apparently the "ferry is down" so he's either speaking literally and a bunch of people died a watery grave death or he's just late and needs two full days to fix the plumbing. ****ing over this overpriced rental house.

Wisdom teeth out today. I think one of the blood clots fell out (when I pushed an ice pack to my face a small red jelly thing popped out) and now I'm scared of getting dry socket, which is supposedly super painful. On one side it's all stitched up, and on the other side it's just a hole
Just sucks a lot. I feel like I did everything right and still had it go wrong.

today i installed 11 speed 105 on the straggler.
laced a hope pro 2 evo rear hub (they now come with an 11sp freehub body) to archetype rims (kept the surly front hub) dt comp spokes + black brass nips.
ultegra crank w/ 46/36 rings and an ultegra 11-32 cassette.
so sweet....lost about 3lbs.

Fresh Garbage
I hope you have some cushiony gloves.
Today the old bike shop called to have me cover a few days a week so they don't fall apart. I don't really want to go back but pay is pay. The REI down the street better hire me.

I do, actually. I habitually ride with gloves but have also found I get less hand fatigue with the cloth tape as compared to cork because I tend to grip the cork tighter but can manage the bar with a lighter touch when wrapped in cloth. The gloves are primarily because if/when I bail I find that trying to type with my hands all rashed up really sucks.

I started refurbishing a pre-war bicycle. I just posted a thread in C&V asking if anyone could help identify it. Reproduction tires for the long obsolete 28 x 1-1/2 "single tube" tires are $150 a piece. Guess I'll cross that bridge when I am nearing completion.
