Decided on a new pair of shoes, but so expensive. Does anyone have a competitive cyclist coupon?

Today was the first day of a new work commute. 35 boring freeway miles. Hate it. #carsmanwhy

Gonna start looking for a new apartment where I'll have space to set up a home office.

Has anybody tried hacking wireless shifters yet? It would be great to see a race where people were suddenly shifting at random.

Encryption doesn't make something unhackable, it just means you need to get the encryption key, but the word "proprietary" in the context of encryption means "We rolled our own and probably don't know what we are doing so please hack us."

Today I took a little spill. 4 women freaking walking abreast taking up the whole MUP. Tried to go around 'em and hit a patch of deeper gravel along some drainage ruts on the edge of the path that had also eroded. I can't ****ing stand it when people do this. So damn inconsiderate.

**** me: why did it take this long for me to finally get a lezyne floor pump? This thing is so efficient with each stroke I found myself accidentally over-inflating my tires.

I might as well chuck my silca superpista and poor joe blow out the window.

Back in Portland and pretty much moved in. So far I don't like living far from campus one bit, since I feel so isolated, but we'll see how it goes once school actually starts I guess.

In other news: I blew $120 on a fancy key-on-beltloop thingy and went into a shop that pretty much convinced me to get Di2 Alfine. It's so freakin rad.

My Lezyne Sport is great, but it's starting to take some effort getting the cup to engage. Anyone have experience servicing these?

This is why I have a bell on many of my bikes. Ding, ding, ding, and if the human or animal does not seem to react, then I shout as loud as I can. In fact, I just got a bell for my 721, because I've had too many close calls when riding in my hood, and it's one of the few of my urban bikes that lacked a bell.

you could always slow down and ask them politely to move...

no point in trying to convince anyone or "win" that one

Or you could just avoid the MUP all together and avoid all that headache.
