but yeah i had the camera propped up on a log there and put a timer on, i forgot my remote trigger at home and didnt realize till i got there.
those two shots i had to hit the timer, run back down the hill in my slippery ass road shoes and try not to die on all the rocks covered in wet leaves to get into position, at least 5 times for both shots

No, it's not The Bike Lane. I know that shop, and while they sell Felt, this is not the same shop. This is farther southeast on Milwaukee towards downtown. Same side of the road, not sure where exactly. I think it is past the Chrome store. I cannot seem to find it even on Google. If you get the chance, go look for yourself. They are in the same building as a little cafe I believe, and I believe it is before you get to the highway.

a crew would be cool, then i could get those cool rapha-esque shots from in front of me as im sweating bullets and hating life on climbs

Not today but yesterday, worked on the Langster.
Used Scratch X and wax, installed brakes and levers, may have to change the calipers. Headset still needs analysis because it is't behaving nice. Had a wheel set from a CL purchase with Campagnolo Hardox Strada , oris that Strad Hardox, with Chorus hubs for a freewheel. Changed the rim offset to support a SS configuration instead of a freewheel block.
Waiting on BB and freewheel to finish it of. They should be her I the next coupe of days.

Did my first "real" track racing this weekend at Hellyer, the first event of their winter beginner racing series. Surprisingly large turnout, I think almost 50 people total between C, B, and A. Started out in B, won both scratch and points by kind of a longshot so they asked me to move up to A. Got 2nd place in points there, but then exploded during elimination after several laps and finished 8th. Still, pretty rad being moved up to A my first time racing, even if it's a beginner session -- everyone else in A had a LOT more serious bike and gear setups and had raced before, and I hung on pretty well.

Thanks, yeah, not planning on upgrading anytime soon. It's an Aventon Mataro frame that I built up with mostly spare parts from my street fixed gear bike, plus a decent (Ellipse) wheelset that I got a great deal on. Definitely inspired me to throw in more interval training to my routine, at least 2x per week.

Got my nifty 'Phil Equipped' stickers in the mail. I can fit one right between the lower bottle cage boss and the 4130 Natch sticker on my seat tube with a 1/16" to spare. Stupid stuff like this excites me.

Went on a 20 mile night ride with 3 buddies from my school. Towards the end of the ride we passed a heavily tatted dude riding a fixed gear on the sidewalk. 20 seconds later he rode up fast on our left side and leapfrogged our line, clearly challenging our collective masculinity. My friend who is a crit racer, and therefore the coolest of us all, went ahead and smoked his ass right then and there, pulling far ahead on his own fgb. I decided to conserve my energy, employing a strategy from everyone's favorite sports anime, and suck the challenger's wheel for a quarter-minute while he exhausted himself. Langster (post#14762) - Installed the BB from the mail pouch, Adjusted the front brake for better actuation after fixing the HS (installed the upper bearing cage upside down, DUH). Installed the cranks. Waiting for the freewheel.
