The article I read about that video was that he was trying to do the most insane stunt or something for a $40k prize from GoPro/RedBull or something.

Personally, I feel the video was a big buildup without much reward. A kicker at the end that launched him up and into the lake would have been more fun to watch. A first person perspective of slamming into a wall of water just didn't do it for me. It's too bad they didn't have a second photo setup capturing slow mo video of him hitting the water.

If it had some side/different views it would have been cooler. It felt lackluster at the end, but still it takes ballz to do that

Today I rode to work, and took a bee to the neck in the same exact spot as Monday, no sting this time.
Today I repacked and regreased my first hub ever under the supervision of the owner. Not a mechanic by any means and just helping out around the shop where needed and having a blast.

You need to stop using that floral scent aftershave.

We wuz puur bumpkins. When I was a kid my neighbor had a LARGE and deep above ground pool. His dad had built a LARGE wood patio cover attached to the house, and the pool sat just beyond it, in the sun. We put TWO slip-'n-slides on the patio roof and slid the distance to launch into the pool. We were about 10 or 11.

All the parents would be BBQing and playing cards and laughing at us. Never gave it a second thought. Of course, this was in a time before cars even had seat belts.

Today I got this...

Too bad I'm going whitewater rafting this weekend. Might have to take a couple vacation days next week to build and ride.

Still have to figure out what kind of headset I need.

Today it is 8:38 am and already 77°F with 72% humidity. It will be a sweat fest on the bike riding to work at the bike shop and then the hospital. Highs forecasted in the mid 90's with the heat index in the triple digits.

I'm going to Home Depot or some local nursery later to get two large houseplants. It's going to make the space very nice.

I've been in the same 1br apt since October of 2012. When I first moved in, it looked like some bachelor pad, with tons of bikes and bike stuff lying around in living room. I've since moved them into the bedroom w some vertical storage.

Now it's clean, regularly vacuumed and looking good with some plants, a real piano (just my digi one before), a nice A/V system and some framed paintings and pictures. If you stepped in you would have no idea that I'm a cyclist or a complete degenerate .

This is such an iconic Beavis and Butthead one liner.

I'll have to share it with some of my bros at work

Unfortunately I am the opposite. 2 br 910 sq ft apartment, and it looks like a bike shop in here. Tools mixed in with helmets, shoes and gloves in a somewhat disorganized storage area. Extra room means extra bikes. 4 is the current number, almost turned into 5 this weekend. I have no plants or framed art work hanging currently. A/V system is nice with a 42" LED tv and sound bar with powered sub, small love seat that my ex wife insisted that I take when I moved out. I have adult stuff, it just looks like a cyclist lives here. Vertical storage of two bikes in plain sight. Rubber mat behind the kitchen table for dirty/wet bikes. Couple of dang grease stains in the carpet unfortunately. Bike stand tucked in the corner. Lights charging on the side table. I accept it. Spare bedroom/computer room has tires, tubes, and 3 sets of wheels in it.

Today I turned into Thor and managed to strip the threads on the stem of my SS MTB turned commuter. Pretty sure I forgot to grease that one before I put it in when I swapped the bar. Oops.
