Fork Shopping
I'm beginning a fixed gear project on a 58 cm Schwinn Le Tour frame. However, the frame is currently forkless. I know I'm going to need a 1" threaded, able to properly fit 700c wheels, and drilled for a front brake. But I'm completely lost when it comes to other criteria. How do I find a proper amount of rake for that size frame? Basically, my overall question is: How the hell do I shop for forks? Thanks a ton.

I don't think you need to worry too much about the technicalities of the fork. Just get a road fork with a long enough steer tube and you will be good to go. I'm sure you can probably find one somewhere cheap/free (might even come with another whole bike ) or else if you don't mind spending some cash you can buy one. There was another topic about forks recently that had several links in it....
