Quality Bike Parts

Hey everyone,

I'm awaiting the Fuji Feather 2014 coming out in July and ordered it in Matte Black.
I'd like to do a black/gold look on it by having gold bullhorns, seatpost, and crankset. My LBS guy told me to purchase them all from the same brand so that the gold won't appear different and cause the bike to look tacky.

I was able to easily find parts from Origin8 on amazon but from what I've read, Origin8 isn't one of the higher quality brands. Can anyone tell me any better quality brands I might be able to find gold bike parts (seatpost, crankset, bullhorns) to add to my future bike?

The overall look I'd like to be something like this.

Thanks!

Origin 8 doesn't really make anything it's just lazer engraved with their logo. Fwiw I have a origin 8 stem I got when I needed a stem and its fine. Sharpee fixed the ugly logo for a while

If that's what suits your palette... You can find gold parts BUT the different gold parts matching each other in terms of the shade of gold can be quite the challenge. Cinelli and nitto make gold parts. Sugino makes a gold 75 crank & a champagne colored 75 grand mighty set.

Appreciate it fellas. And yeah, it suits me haha. It'll be difficult alright but I have until July to find the right combination. The chainring I'd like to be 45-47t. I'll check out cinelli and Nitto parts. And if anything, I might just do gold stem/ handlebars, seatpost, and rims. As long as there's an accent.

Update: I was on State Bicycle Co.'s website and saw gold components they're selling: seatpost, stem, bullhorns, wheel set.

Any opinions on which brand I should buy from between these two? Origin8 or Stae Bicycle Co.?

You may be able to find retailers who still have some in stock but those gold Cinelli parts have all been discontinued.

Cheap. OEM & origin 8 are the same.... OEM is not a good thing in the cycling world with corners being cut to preserve a profit margin.

On a Fuji Feather, Origin8 isn't so bad. They just rebrand components made by decent companies like wellgo, formula, etc. I just wouldn't throw those parts on a Cinelli or Super Pista or anything.
