    Option A:

Recently moved to the "flat" part of the city and need a good commuter bike. I've ridden a CAAD-9 52 for about three years now. Looking for a bike that's quick and snappy in the $300 range. Willing to upgrade as necessary over time, but am not knowledgeable fixed gears and single speeds. Ideally, I'd rather have a single speed, so if I went with the Mercier, I would probably get it converted. I'm new here, so any help or advice would be great. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I'm 5'7" long legs. My Cannondale is a 52 and fits pretty well. The Mercier guy said the fit of that bike was pretty close to my cannondale. thoughts?

You have a bike that fits. Measure it, then compare to things you are buying.
