Recs for (vintage?) fixed/track crank & BB
Hi people,
Building up a nice frame with Campy SR track hubs and Mavic Open Pros.
I'm looking for suggestions for a BB and crank set for it. I like the idea of a campy set up, but I don't love the newer looking stuff.
Any ideas on something really functional and good looking? I personally love the older stuff, but am open to ideas.
Thanks!

For example I really like the Stronglight 93s which I could modify for a fixie, and I quite like the 1950/60 Campy SR cranks and chain wheels.

If you want the look of old Campy without going to the used market, look up the IRD defiant crankset. See if you can source it through your LBS.

Thanks. An option, yes. For another $100 though I could get a real Campy like this:
https://bit.ly/17mJhOp
but is that well priced for the item?
If I'm going campy, shouldn't I just save and go campy SR on the BB and crankset?

These old Zuescranks look awesome too- any ideas if they're worth $250, and if they ride well?

Also - am I supposed to be buying a 110mm BB to make the chain line as straight as possible or does it not really matter if I find a 120mm or 110mm?

So this old Super Record is not good value, right? https://www.ebay.com/itm/like/321223730297?lpid=82
Seems overpriced at $250.

If you just want some nice vintage looking track cranks, get an IRD Defiant crankset. They cost only $130 at RG.
