I wont say it, I'll type it. #kilott or maybe motobecane messenger? If neither of those, if just keep an eye on craigslist and wait for a deal to pop up.

Also maybe wait a bit for the end of the year specials when they try to dump last years bikes ?

Do you want the best deal fixed-gear for less than $400 dollars or do you want something different than a Kilo TT? These are not compatible.

There are no Motobecane messengers at your LBS, unless they are used. Why would it be okay and the Kilo not? Why on earth are you considering the retrospec at all? You would be better off with a State. If you aren't going to take our advice why did you ask?

You've eliminated one of the best options without any explanation. If you could add more details to say why the Kilo isn't a good option we might be able to help you more.

I ve decided to go with a smaller budget as she wont be using it all the time, if she would use the same size as me then I would get something better so i could ride it when shes not around .

For about the same money, build and ride quality on the Kilo are *way* better.

He doesn't want to shell a few extra bucks to get his girl (for now) something decent worth riding. Stand-up dude.
