Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The frame itself is supposed to be stiff and reliable but the welds are big and ugly. If I were in the market for an aero-tubed track frame I would consider it.

We have 2 LV1s and so far no complaints, the welds do show but at least the beads are even and don't look so bad "dime roll" .

Yeah, Scrod wants to be a Leader, not an Unknown. *rim shot*

Pake Rum Runner or Fyxation Eastside are reputable frames on the lower end. Or you could try finding some vintage steel frames on the cheap locally.

I've spent $150 on worse things. I would go for it, keeps the budget in check for other parts of the build.

A frame is just a component like any other. If you like it, buy it, it's not as though it's expensive. If you build a nice bike around it and then decide the frame was the wrong choice, buy the right frame, swap the bits and sell this frame.

As for Scrod not being a dealer, maybe they DO have standards
