Should of used that CNC machine to make the chainring look like Uroboros dragon. The ring teeth would be the back scales. Now that I would buy.

Mumonkan 11-25-13 12:47 PM

i think its beautiful, but it doesnt look as great when its actually bolted to a crank

Leukybear 11-25-13 01:07 PM

Meh, I still havent figured out the chain bolt size for my last prolly influenced chainring purchase....

They look pretty cool. Of course, with chainrings, it always depends on the rest of the build as to how they look, but I'm sure there'll be some sexy bikes made with them.

Oh, imagine the fun you'll have cleaning the sods too :troll: Wax lube for these babies :)

Agree it looks good. I'm in Shanghai for work, and having a bike built up by the guys who run the F5 workshop here (who are from Canada and the US). Modern Chinese cities are great for riding in.

Debating whether to spring for their chainring. I think the black or grey (paired with matching H+Son rims) would compliment a minimal coated aluminium colour-scheme. Will post some pics documenting the outcome of my decision.

It looks beautiful and in the grand scheme of things $90 isn't horrible for unique piece of kit. If you're purely looking for weight savings you'd be better off going with a 3/32" drivetrain though.

GENESTARWIND 11-27-13 01:11 PM

weight weenies are ****ing stupid.

This may very well be the first thing I can agree with you 100% about.

I wouldn't blame him, we get cycling weather all year round over here. #MLIG

I do blame him for now having to pay CA sales tax though.

Tequila and I don't get along very well. I did enjoy a very delicious frozen White Russian the other night though. :D

If it's any consolation, I have to pay higher taxes now too.
