Norco Heart vs. Regal Bicycle

So I'm torn between these two entry level bikes under 400$. I couldn't find any reviews on them, but did see a couple of Norcos on the streets of Toronto and Regal shop does have good reviews. Could you guys help me out with the decision? Is one of these bikes better than the other?

Or maybe you could suggest me something else that is available in Toronto in the price of 600$?

Regal Bikes are the same crappy quality as PureFix and the like.

Hit up the guys at Bikes On Wheels, they'll be able to help you out with something. Fuji Feather/Declaration or something similar.

Ship a kilo tt to buffalo and come pick it up.

Never seen a Regal. Norco Hearts look cheap as ****.

Thanks for the answers, guys.
I wish I could order it to Buffalo but I don't have a car right now.
Thanks for the Bikes on Wheels reference, I'll give them a visit.

I knew a guy with a Norco Spade, he seemed to like it. No clue on the price of one of those though.
Value for your money for entry level fixed gears seems pretty bad in Canada. Shipping from the US doesn't save you much money either, after tax and duty.

Exactly, bikes in Canada is a ripoff. I recently bought a Public C7i. It was 650 in US, here it came to 900. Plus tax.

Thanks again for the Bikes on Wheels advice. If anyone knows anything else, please share. Maybe Canadians here know some more places..

Look like nice bikes to me...best of luck!

Toronto Fixed Gear - Classifieds group on Facebook. Bikes are always popping up on there as well. Used market in Toronto is more fairly priced.

Used prices usually aren't that bad in TO; but bikes prices in general are much higher in Canada.

I have a LBS that I love and they're awesome guys, but I'm not paying $1400 for a Steamroller.

Also, if you don't mind the looks; a Brodie Remus is a decent bike that you can usually get for under $500.

Damn I never knew buying a bike in Canada sucked so bad, I paid $650 for my steamroller shipped.

I'm not sure about buying a used bike.. I'm not that knowledgable about them yet to not miss out possible problems..

So you think Remus is a good option?

Thanks as always
