Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I want to make sweet sweet lovin' to that thing. I have always wanted a tandem (and a Santana and a pink bike) so I could ride it Sheldon Brown style steering from the back with nobody up at the front. A fixed gear version makes it so ¢a$h monies, if only I had that kind of scrilla.

I'm no expert, but this doesn't seem like too bad of a deal if it fits.

How about this one in my area? The description is a little hilarious, but for 150 doesn't seem so bad. However the bike looks huge, the tt is almost the height of the door knob behind it.

Bianchi 3ttt bike- beat up but works

Heh....I'm 5'9" and I ride around on an undersized 50 cm bike.....I'd love to restore that bike but yeah, I might not even get full leg extension with the seat slammed on that thing.

Some guy here is selling Campy Deltas....Should I go for it? Or do vintage brakes not belong on a Carbon fiber bike?

Campagnolo brakes

Mercier Kilo TT Singlespeed Fixed Gear Track Commuter Bike | eBay

The, always sold out, kilo tt. I debated picking it up but it's a little big for me. Not at a bad price right now.

Meh, that's just the first bid and even if you got it at that price there's still $50 shipping, whereas it's free from bd. Also you have to bid $5 more than the current bid. So, at best you'd save about $45.

Well I was looking at it as 355 shipped (with an upgrade or two) vs 400 and rarely in stock.
The top tube looks a little long for me though. May throw in a bid, I need a second bike.

I don't know what it is but it has vertical drop outs. A converted road bike maybe? Definitely Kilo TT.

being in Canada, it's not the easiest to obtain a kilo tt (when sizes come available), but i may have to order online and drive down (as others have done). Just thought I'd check locally first, and was hoping maybe that frame might be something worth investing in. You're right though, at almost $300, it's better to upgrade to #kilott . This forum should really be re-labelled www.kilottfanclubforums.net lol.
