Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

uh, fits well enough for my commute lol.

That there is a 48cm, and I'm 6'. I need a longer, setback seatpost, and I'll get a threadless adapter and a longer stem, but after that it should actually fit pretty good.

Haha nice. When I was window shopping for the Nano I found a 130mm quill stem and that would have made up the 2cm TT difference. Not sure if the saddle would have been in the right position. Bianchi over here makes a nice looking minivelo in my size but it also has a nice price tag.

Much reachises.

The gradient in bar to saddle reach between evil's & hairnet's is too much.

Sorry mang, you need to have your bars mounted on your fork crown to be cool around here.

If I had a couple extra feet to my stature, I would gladly ride your bike. I know for sure my back would thank me for choosing yours over evils.
I noticed you got the straggler's touring cousin going on with johnny's straggler on the previous page too.

It's a 1984 Trek 520, and I can't decide what the hell I want to put on it. Options include:

Suntour XCE group with Suntour barcons
Ultegra 9-speed with compact crank
Deerhead with Silver bar end pods and 105 shifters
XT rear, Deerhead front with barcons

PLZ HALPS

IIRC Deerhead RD isn't slant parallelogram so the shifting isn't quite as nice and the chain/cog gap isn't consistent across the freewheel. I'd use all Deerhead only to make the bike look pretty.

I'm of the same mind. The inverse is that the Suntour stuff will probably perform the best in friction, but kind of looks like ass.
