Don't worry, swapped the flats for my old 747 clip less pedals.
Full 26" with Kenda Nevegals, Marzocchi 888, E13 guide now. Got newer 4 piston hope calipers so no more custom brake reservoir, added ti rotor bolts and carbon stem spacers and cap for extra flair.

It baffles me how people rode long distances with bars and levers interfacing like that unless you found being the drops 100% of the time to be super comfy.

b) the bikes were fit very differently, saddle to bar drop was basically nil. the position in the drops of yesteryear is similar to where we are on the hoods today

You know, red used to not be my thing, and maybe still isn't. A part of me always found it a bit obvious and not terribly imaginative. I bought this one because the opportunity presented itself, not because I was seeking one out that's red. But now that I have it, I've grown to appreciate it. Visually, it certainly pops, that's for sure.
