Thanks. I was having a hard time getting my hands on a Shimano Nexus 7-speed IGH, which is just about the only decent hub with a 130mm OLD to fit the dropouts in my Cassy. I almost ordered this KHS Green 8 Deluxe 8-speed through one of the local shops in my area.

Help in deciding crank size and teeth for single speed

what is a recommended crankset for a street and track fixe gear and also does it make any difference if its a high flange or low flange hubs? Thank you all.

That vintage stumpjumper is amazing! What kind of tires of those and would you recommend them?

You didn't really argue anything, except that discs were good for descents? Which like... yeah? They are.

Also, I don't agree that Road discs are in their infancy. Most of the tech transferred over directly from MTBs, no?

Just like those on a car, they will fade with heat. It's expected.

Hence why some of the nicer rotors have an awesome slotted machined design and calipers with heatspreaders. I.e. ice tech rotors and cooling fins.

Just acquired this. Needs a yellow saddle.

+1

Light colored saddles do not age well with use whatsoever. Especially the white and yellow ones.

But white saddles + tape look amazing together.

Picked this up a couple weeks ago and finally dialed it in. It's an old Spooky Skeletor. Back up bike for the Stoemper.

I know dat feel on the paddywagon, if I ran a white saddle on it to match its tape it'd be a blue saddle now :P

Hand-me-down from the main bike. The stack was too tall (42mm), angle too shallow (-6°) and length too short (120mm) for the geometry on the Stoemper. Replaced it with a Deda Superleggera at 36mm/-8°/130mm.

That's quite the backup bike, too...

^^^ Very nice Dan. You've got a winner there. I'm a big fan of dt shifters on vintage bikes, and didn't even start using brifters until 10 years ago. :thumb:
