Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Whats the difference in the wheels, one set looks smaller? Is one set a 27.5 and the other 29? Or are my eyes messed up?

The smaller set are 26 and I think 2.0 or 1.95. The other is 700x38. Oh and I've since aligned the tire labels over the stems, can't believe the LBS didn't do that when I bought the tires. LOL

How's it ride with the 26's? I'm tempted to try 27.5's on my Scalpel 29er but have no idea how it'd handle (or if the bb would be too low).

compared to the 700's, like a fat pig. I rarely put them on actually. Mostly early spring when the trails are still pretty muddy and rutted. Really thought they ride great.
