Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

A friend of mine uses one, so I thought I'd try it out. I bought a used bike on CL that came with a Selle Royal that is a real ass-hatchet. I need something with a little bit of cushioning when I'm not wearing bike shorts. The price was certainly right.

Cinelli 1a stem and two pairs of Cinelli bars: 64 Giros and 65 Criterium. All off CL for next to nothing. Pretty stoked.

Some new pedals. First time going clip less. I figured the extra platform could help because it let you pedal without being clipped in in emergencies

im just planning on building it up to be a respectable fixed gear. No real plans for racing but i plan to get back into riding with it. I should have it together by the end of the week once i get a BB in.

Because it hits about 60 mph on a flat road I'm technically supposed to, but I won't because I like to live on the edge. OUTLAW 4 LYFE.

That one is actually Angie's. Mine is in the works.

Added a Wound Up fork on my frame,

I am planning to sand out the decal and make the carbon matte instead of leaving it glossy. This gives it a more simple look.

Judging by how the paint job on your GT came out, I think you should have someone else do it.
