Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Maybe the model got axed but Fuji had already ordered the cranksets?
Not sure - I've seen the cranks and rings, usually separate, for sale a few places. Some new or new take-offs. Odd that so many people would swap them. Did that 111th anniv. bike actually make it to market?

Got these today for $60, brand-new, never ridden once. Guy got them from a Shimano rep and just never wore them.

I bought a set of rollers. Still getting the hang of riding them. This is better than waiting for the weather not to suck to ride again.

I Just got some too, still trying to get to where I can take my hand off my porch railing for more than like 15 seconds

I've put in about a half hour's worth of riding on it by now. Once I'm up and going I can maintain a solid cadence, and keep my balance pretty well.

What does it feel like resistance-wise? Do you need a tall gear to really get a workout from them?

I have this exact pair. They did not hold up well at all. It is a comfortable shoe, but the strap with the ratchet clip started ripping, and now it is almost completely ripped off. I don't even wear them any more and refuse to spend that much on a replacement pair when there are far better made options. Shimano shoes fit me really well but this has soured me toward their shoes.

This. Plus anything feels like a workout since I haven't really ridden much since crashing back in December. I'm pretty sure I cracked a rib. I also broke a finger and jammed two more on my left hand. On top of that I had a sore hip from the impact.

Well that kinda sucks, maybe they were just a bad pair, why didn't you just warranty them through Shimano?

Hopefully these ones hold up better.
