Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bullhorn & compact-drops.
Already have RB-002, still need to find a proper 26.0mm compact drop but for now I'm enjoy using Giant Men's Road Bar

My favorite handlebar is the Trekking bar, but it is too clunky for a fixed gear bike, it somehow goes against the basic simplicity of the machine. I find Moustache bars offer several of the same hand positions so i like them. If you think about it, a moustache bar is kinda like a Trekking bar with the closest flats cut off.

I also have bullhorns on a couple of bikes, but i seem to prefer the shorter reach of "chop and flop" bars than proper bullhorns.

What do you think is going to happen?

If you already have drops on your geared bike and never use them, switching to deeper "all drops, all the time" track drops....

Thread jack!

A friend of mine uses H-bars (https://www.jonesbikes.com/h-bar.html). He swears by them for comfort and utility. Has anyone else tried them?

I might just pick one up. It looks like you can get some really cool cockpits.

I like flat bars. I have a front rack and they're the tops for providing clearance and control. I don't find hand positions a big problem either. I have bmx type grips right now and I've found you can rest your hands palm inward against the flanges of the grip for a hoods kind of position. I take the bike on the trails some times too and I like flats way better than for that type of riding. A flat bar isn't that limiting in my experience.
