Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The Fuji Declaration

I always thought that the Fuji Declaration was one of the coolest single speeds made of chromoly steel, mainly because of its rack mount at the rear.

However, I just found out that the Declaration is made from hi-tensile steel, instead of chromoly. You'll be paying a fairly premium price for the Declaration, if you're paying over $375 for a hi-tensile steel single speed.

Elios 1 = Hi-tensile

Elios 2 = Chromoly

Just passing along some info, just in case somebody gets confused about Fuji's Elios lingo.

May not be so exciting, but it beats sittin' on the back porch listening to the neighbors kids screaming all day!

I just thought I'd pass along the information that contrary to popular belief, a tomato is actually a fruit rather than a vegetable.

If you think that chromoly steel and hi-tensile steel are equivalent, then I guess a tomato being classified as a fruit, rather than a vegetable, would have serious significance to you!

this is good policy. whenever any of us have free time we should alert the gang about any inside info that may or may not persuade one from making a purchase. lets face it, we all do alot of late night ill-researched drunk buys online.
