Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'd like to know myself. It looks like he had them done professionally.

Agreed. The poster is a great photographer. Lousy floor finisher or carpet layer ' see shots 4 and 5'. Great photographer.

Look at the left pedal/toe clip, it's supporting the bike. It's easy to do with a fixie, haven't tried it on my geared bike yet as it has clipless pedals.

Agreed, I bet it's also easier to do with that rug there too, more traction and whatnots.

There's been a whole run of great looking bikes/photography on fgg recently, that one (#1700), #1731 is also a great job, in my opinion, I'd say #1727 isn't bad if I had more artsy fartsy in me, and #1698 looks good as well.

yeah, and if you look there's a brick or something under the rug. i would guess that clips can't ordinarily reach the ground on their own - or maybe they can, seems that would be pretty nasty for cornering though.

that bike is so so beautiful, i hope i dream about it tonight. someday it will be mine. oh yes, it will be mine.

Needs more aluminum.

I kid. Very, very nice, and good photos, too.
