The curved arch is great on your plam. Kraton rubber. Soft yet firm.

I've got a set of Oury grips on my Masi. I like the grips a lot. I'm switching to bullhorns shortly (with bar tape), but as far as riser grips go, these Oury are my favs.
I will say that installation was a chore. I did the hairspray thing, but one of the grips never did set correctly. I found that cleaning the bar really, really well and then spraying the actual bar itself with a thin, even coating of hairspray gave the best "lock" for the grips (as opposed to spraying inside the grip). Once they lock down, though, they're a bear to get off.

I go up and down on the Oury's. I'm not the biggest dude, so sometimes they feel too big in my hands. But the design and the cush are tops.
Hairspray is an old trick, but it can be messy. I used to work at a shop, and sometimes we would use either the air compressor or a syringe with rubbing alcohol to get the grips on or off.

I'm not a big fan of the oury grips. Maybe because I'm just not a fan of riser bars. I had riser bars with oury grips then switched to horns and never looked back

Not trying to derail, but have you thought of bar tape?
I had grips on riser bars but they were cheap and uncomfortable. Pulled them off and wrapped the whole bar in some nice Fizik tape.
Thought it looked better, was more comfortable and gave me more hand positions. Just IMHO (which isn't worth much).
/Continue thread.
Edit: Also switched to bullhorns and never looked back. ^

Yoshida champ grips
Super tacky, supple, and the best part, don't get nasty like ourys and cheaper alternatives do over time as the oil in your skin degrades the material.

I tried the Alcohol thing and couldn't get 'em to dry out and stick (admittedly, I probably used too much) and I didn't have a compressor handy to try that trick, but I saw online that a kid used like 4 of those zip tie things (with the pointy end inside the grip. He pulled the grips on with the zip ties spread out evenly at 12, 3, 6, 9 and once the grip was on, he used pliers to grab the ends of the zip ties and pull them out. Hairspray worked well for me, but I'd probably try the zip tie thing next time.

i used water activated grip tape for golf club grips for my oury grips. simple as pie, gives you a little time to slide them around into the position you want and then on there like like they were forged onto the bars. i don't think there is an easier or more secure way to do it

Ive got some Somas on the way that I had planned to use bar tape on but I'm thinking I like the Origin grips instead. Thanks for the idea. I might be stealing it.
