Spraypainting a Chrome Bag
I saw a thread about this before but it didn't really answer my question. What I want to know is if your run of the mill aerosol spray paint would damage my Cordura (I'm obviously not going to try to paint the tarpaulin liner) and how long it would last. So does anyone know?

ETA: mine is starting to look rough, but it just goes to show I actually use it and carry stuff.

It should work.
Try spraying a separate piece of cordura before you do your bag... if something goes wrong, you haven't buggered your bag.
The durability of the paint will depend on the type of paint you use and how much wear and tear the bag receives.

Your cog is slipping.
Spraypainting Dura Ace 7600 hubs is a perfectly acceptable practice on this forum so why not a stupid bag?
Go for it. Post pics when you're done so we can collectively marvel at it with jaws agape.

Because I love to spray paint my 7600 hubs, I was thinking of spray painting a stencil on my chrome bag as it was looking a bit ragged after 5 years of use. Instead I ordered a custom canvas print off some website for $35, cut it off the frame and glued it to my bag.

One of them holds the moral high ground, we're just not sure which one

Blimey, you're not taking him seriously are you?
If I'm forced to be serious, my concern would be the paint cracking as the the material of the bag flexes, leading the thing to look worse than it does now. Mind you, I'm also one of those boring old pharts who rattles on about patina ie, old stuff should look old and often looks better for it because the scuffs and scrapes tell the story of the item.
