sorry for not posting in the ebay/cl/catchall thread. i thought this would get lost in there.

so the volantes are good and long-lasting? i put some on about two weeks ago and have been happy so far (after the initial squealing that the back one made while skidding). i love that you can get 'em up to 145psi. and i think they have more tread than the fortezzas.

how are they for puncture protection?

I've been riding the Volantes for several months and couldn't be happier. They seem to be tough. I haven't had any flats or punctures yet. (I don't have to deal with much glass on the street though.)

Make sure that your rim is able to take 145psi. Many are not  .

well you dont have to inflate them to 145, I never go higher than 120psi on my rear 110 on the front. but yeah good tires...thanks for the tip.

Hi,
if you run a Fortezza at a sane pressure, the ride is wonderful.
You are less likely to get a flat, most tires last longer, it will be a teeny tiny bit faster, and you won't spend your time on a bumpy street saying bwahahrhahahDOHwoowoowoowo....

I have them on three bikes. So far two flats in two years. A big staple and a nail, both stood up by the front and stuck in the rear. They wear pretty good and, as mentioned, if you run them around 110-120 they ride nice. They are quite a bit lighter than the Armidillos.
