Are Sugino Zen chainrings intentionally shaped oddly?

I was checking out a Sugino Zen and noticed that the chainring thickness was not consistent all the way around. Some areas (width wise) were slightly thinner, and some were slightly thicker.

edit: this is now a one word response thread. if you respond with more than one word, your bike will blow up.

What the **** are you even talking about? That pic doesn't show width of the chainrings at all.

do mean the tooth count when you say thickness? then yes a 52t chainring is 'thicker' than a 46t...etc
if by thickness you mean disk surface area

misworded it, it looked to me that the inner diameter of the chainring was oblong, i am not sure if it was the angle that the photo was taken or if it was intentionally oblong. regarding the thickness, i meant this:

If it wasn't the photo angle then I was wondering if it was some intentional design like how the Osymetric went ballsack crazy when it decided to make an oval shaped chainring.

So you've never even seen a Zen chainring in person and you're making the odd assumption that they are not round based on pics on the internet.

Excellent job.

Or you could just google it and find a plan view of the chainring?
