2015 Bianchi Super Pista sizing 55cm
 

Hey, I spend all my time here in the vintage road bike forums. I have a 80s Colnogo, 70 track bike ect.

So this will be my first modern bike. I cant stop looking at the Bianchi Super Pista in Celeste. Question, anyone have one in 55cm? what is your standover height? I know steel road bike sizing like the back of my hand but modern track, not so much.

Why would it be different?

Standover height means absolutely nothing when it comes to bike sizing. What matters most is top tube length. If you choose a frame with a suitable top tube length, all other measurements will be in the correct range.

FWIW, it's 31.5". But Scod is absolutely correct that standover is totally irrelevant in bike sizing. Toptube is 550mm on the 55cm Super Pista.

Hey, good to know. I know the BB is higher than old road bikes. So i thought that the Seat tube measurement might feel different for that reason. Also, I cant physically try one as I will be ordering online. Want to be 100% sure of sizing.

+1 and I will just add that when you looking at TT measurements make sure you know what your looking at. Some top tubes are angled like on a mountain bike so you have to find the measurement that calculates for level. Also some folks measure C-T and others measure C-C so be cautious of that. This is all assuming you have tried multiple TT lengths and know exactly what your looking for. Otherwise your just picking between sizes of an individual manufacturer and that should be easy enough to figure out without involving any of the above complications.
