I meant the comparison between a Cinelli and a Leader or State not being unreasonable. The OP already acknowledges that his bike is not in the same league as a Cinelli, State, Leader.

Sorry, i shouldn't have really quoted you, i guess. Don't get yer lycra sausage casing in a bunch. I was simply saying that neon yellow makes it look like a cheap BikesDirect type bike. I think that's an older non China(probably Japanese) bike, so if it was painted differently could be really nice(er), but that's just my opinion.

Ok - I think we accept quite some time ago that alot of Cinelli (and majority of everybody else's) bikes are now made in Asia. But please forgive me if I wait to to hear from a non-Bikesdirect source what they may or may not be doing in China?

Unfortunately that is the way of our multi-national world today and comparing Cinelli product to other crappy far-east makers coz they both were built somewhere in Asia is a false equivalency...

edit - BTW, willing to admit I have owned some Bikesdirect...uhhh...stuff(?)...myself

You seem to be using the words Asia and China interchangeably. Not all of Asia is part of China, and there is a significant difference in quality for different countries such as Japan and Taiwan. I have a Ti geared bike (Salsa Colossal) with a frame made in Taiwan, and it's truly a thing of beauty. Why do you think Trek makes their lower end bikes in China, but the Madone is made in Taiwan and America ?

Burrito level is drastically higher than pasta level.
Foreigners? We're not one to judge if we're not of native american descent.

Thanx alot for your compliment but why would you want something that those guys just told me was made in Italy, when instead you could have a dozens of Asian Bikesdirect crap bikes for less?

Yesh, no reason to post pics of bicycles in this thread, right? So much better to...uhhh...do whatever is being done here...

It's very common in Italy too. Most of the Mediterranean.

Wait, are we talking about siestas or lazyness? cause i think we Americans are far lazier than either.
