If you couldn't have both, Space Horse, Nature Boy or a lobotomy to avoid the decision?

Space Horse, but mostly because it has the versatility to run geared or SS and is more comfortable on longer rides. The Nature Boy is prettier, though.

Hi, long time lurker, new to SS/Fixed gear bikes.

Just got this super cheap ($120, probably unsafe, all generic parts of very low quality) SS/FG bike. Well, it's just something to test the waters, and I use it 2-3x a week for a 20min-25min bike commute to work. I dont know all the specs on this bike, but I know that it has a chromoly frame, and I got a drop bar to change the very ugly handle bars that came with it. I dont even know if this bike is worth posting here.

the brand is SGM. Probably from china or taiwan, whatevs..

Dont worry, Ive been doing a lot of reading, and learning a lot, probably my next bike will be as good as yours.

I also raised the seat saddle, the ride feels a little wonky.. unstable. there's probably a million things wrong with it. but it's my first, I gotta start somewhere.

I'll probably upgrade the rims and tires, and then the crankset and saddle. but oh well.. biking is fun. :-)

Don't ride that into a forest. If you get lost, you'll never be rescued.

Looks good. How do you get the watter bottle out of the downtube though.

Thanks! I don't try to get at it while riding, if one of my other bottles goes empty i'll swap it out with the one on the downtube.

Wish the JYD wasn't a limited edition.

And I feel like I speak for everyone when I say they need to bring back the green nature boy. They have it on the model with a carbon fork and discs but it's expensive af

I went ahead and put a setback thomson on it. Its very slightly higher than I want, but I think I like it. I was thinking about raising it a little anyway.

I don't like the way a setback thomson looks on traditional geo road frames, but I think it's less offensive than a silver post. Ill probably gowith a VO grand cru noir when it's available. This will work for now.

For those interested, I and enjoying the c17 so far.

If it truly is a singlespeed with a freewheel, you need to put a rear brake on it.

Nah, I adjusted the seat angle before my ride. As for the rear brake, I may put one on, may not.

Heck, I would run a rear brake on my fixed gear if I had the mount for it out back. You do, and you should run one.
