Time for the annual Clean Air Ride in Inverness, FL

The annual Clean Air Ride is coming up on Saturday, March 22, 2014. I'm already registered.
I did the ride in 2011 and 2012. I was registered in 2013 but we had early morning showers so I passed. Dumb move. The rain ended shortly before the ride started and the rest of the day was beautiful.

Anyway, here's the link for more details and to register.

I'm looking forward to it! I'm registered for the 48 miler. I've only been cycling for about a week (a little ambitious perhaps). Been doing 10 miles daily on the Withlacoochee, thoroughly enjoy it!

Are you doing the century? I was curious what the route was (start heading N or S, where is the extra 8-miles, etc).

The century route goes off the trail in the Citrus Springs area and gets the extra miles riding thru the neighborhoods. You'll see the marking on the trail pavement for century riders as you approach W. Citrus Springs Blvd.

I'm doing the 48 mile but will most likely add a few miles (obligatory riding over the SR50 overpass, etc.).

Unless the Inverness Bicycle & Fitness jerseys arrive by Friday, I'll be wearing this (under my vest because of the morning temps). Easy to spot fellow BF members. My leg tattoos are also easy to spot.

I'm pretty sure I saw you on the south route this morning (you were over on the side of the road). I saw that shirt anyways. I meant to say hi but was traveling with someone else and at 18 mph it was already too late! I should be at the BF ride on Sunday though. I finished today with 7 hours 2 minutes overall, and 6 hours 23 minutes cycling time. Avg was 15.9 mph. I rode with a guy who I rode with in Ocala on Mondays (Jose, in his 50's, rides a nice carbon Cervelo). I was worried but ended up having a great ride. 60 miles wasn't bad at all, at 75 I started getting fatigue/sore, and 80+ was all down hill. But finished it strong and will be doing it again!

Glad you did well.
It may have been me. I pulled off to the side twice. Once when heading south to remove my vest and arm warmers and again heading north to re-pin my number.
I rode over the SR50 overpass at Ridge Manor and made a few short side trips in Inverness for a total of 52 miles. No world record in the ride time.

I hope you can make the BF ride next Sunday. I'll probably be on my Litespeed.

Not sure what to make of the T-shirt. Unlike past years there are no sponsors on the back.

Awesome, I'll see you there!

Regarding the shirt, I like it but have nothing to compare it to. The wife hates the color though.
