Have fun gals.

I'll be thinking about you later, when I'm belting out some painfully high note in practice tonight.
I did ride in this morning though - 43 miles in the cold.

Take some dang pictures er sumthin. Let me know what it's all about.

Sorry you couldn't make it, VV. we had a great time.

Hope to actually meet you next time, Warren. I was wondering who the dude was that was taking all those pictures! How long did you stay?

Started at 5:20 and left shortly after 7:00. Forgot my long sleeve jersey and was about to freeze. Was wearing the white and multi stripe (horizontal) campy jersey. Riding the Fuji on the outside lane most of the time. Would sprint to catch the group some and tag along for a lap or more then pull back out to the outside lane and recoup. Interval training for my slow paced self (hehehe).

If I knew what you were wearing, I might have some pictures of you.

I hate that I didn't get a chance to say howdy! I kept looking for someone that may be you, but of course, there were a lot of people there I didn't know. I was wearing black shorts (my legs were frozen cold within 20 mins of riding), and my white Richardson Bike Mart jersey and black arm warmers. red pony tail out the back of my helmet. hope that helps; I would love to see pix if you have them!

yea! that is my friend behind me. she is a much stronger rider than I am. Note how she is letting me pull her (for a miles, I may add). I'll have you know that the little bugger didn't take her turn up front when I got tired. sheesh!

Me too Vega....guess you heard I was going to be there.

Have to setup a ride one day or a group dine out. Otherwise just have to come out and cheer you on during your TT at Lowes.

No, warrenl, I was looking forward to meeting you, and introducing you to CM. We do have occasional Charlotte area Foo lunches, but I don't know how easy it is for you to come in during the weekdays. Ideally, we'll have a Foo lunch on a weekend someday, and those who show up can discuss where and when to have a Foo ride.

VV...was just kidding about you not showing up because of me. I hope your toe is better and you are managing some outside mileage while the weather holds.

If ya'll have a lunch sometime let me know. If I am in town, it is real easy for me to make (work in CLT) and can usually take long lunches (hope boss doesn't read this).

<casts a lonely eye down the mountain>

lunch sounds great

Actually, I don't miss CLT too much (lived near the corner of Park & Park ). It's beautiful up here. Now that it's getting a bit warmer I've been taking more scenic rides home. I'll post when I actually remember my camera one morning.

A Foo pie ride.

Do you work downtown, by chance, warrenl?

Park and Park! Ahhh, Charlotte. Gotta love those great intersections. Queens and Queens, anyone?

Ever get down this way, cooperwx?

My in-laws are in Salisbury, so that's the closest I get to the Queen City. Last time I was there was to fly out of CLT to go to a wedding, for about half the cost of flying from AVL.

As mentioned I lived in South Charlotte, then moved to Concord when I took a job at University Place (Harris & Tryon). So I know the city/region/sprawling metropolis quite well.

Have an old college friend from Shelby, so I even know Substructure's haunts a bit.

In Dec 2002, my company found it cheaper for me to take the train to Greensboro, then a cab to GBO airport to fly to a conference in Orlando than to fly out of Charlotte. Train was iced in, had to take a cab (paid for by my train ticket) to the Amtrak station in GBO, then a cab to GBO airport. Flew in a DeHavilland Dash-8 back through CLT!
