E. Wesley ride information

We're riding again this Saturday, December 16, to save the bike lanes on E. Wesley Road.

The weather should be gorgeous (sunny and temps in the low 70s -- probably 55 to 60 at the start of the ride) so make plans to joins us.
I plan on riding, not driving, so if anyone who lives near N. Dekalb Mall or along LaVista Road wants to ride with me (and any others I pick up along the way) post a reply or send me a PM.
The ride starts at 10:30 AM and I don't know how long it takes to ride there (~9 miles plus traffic) so I'll be leaving home around 9:15 AM.

I missed the last one (two?). What's the response been like? I saw in the email that since the first ride they've stopped construction. That's great!

My boss just told me that my presence "isn't required" but it would be nice if I could join the ride.
Should I go or should I enjoy my birthday weekend doing what I want to do???

I missed the second ride (Dec 2). I was down around the Pine Mountain area doing some Christmas shopping with the wife and looking at retirement areas.

I was at the ride last Sunday (Dec 10) and we had 25 riders. I guess Sunday at 11:45 is an odd time to get riders to show up. Many are either at church or on their regular Sunday rides.

Ok, let's have a show of hands.
Who will be riding to the E. Wesley ride tomorrow?
Who will be driving to the ride?

We had ~25 riders this morning. The weather was awesome. If you weren't there you missed a good time.

A photographer from Creative Loafing was there taking lots of pictures. He said the pics and story would be in next week's issue. It hits the news stand on Thursday (Dec 21).

I was not able to attend due to a commitment to lead my Fruitcake Ride. I did get 75 miles of riding in, but I look forward to the next ride.

Thanks,
Tommy

Tommy and everyone else.
I don't think we'll have another ride until after the holidays but I could be wrong.
Check here for any updates.
