FL - (Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg)

Figured we would need to do this at some point anyway.

No ride today (Sunday 10/15). Last night at the Dunedin Brewery for Octoberfest kicked my ass. We need to get stuff in order for next Sunday.

Hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend...

Yea, I was just gonna say that I can't come today because i'm sick as a dog. Bad sore throat and such.

I think we were going to try another Pinellas Trail ride this coming Sunday. Not sure if it will be North or South, but we can start at Taylor Park in Largo again. As long as we get a decent start from the park and get back before dusk the park will still be open.

- it was a good Monday ride - almost exactly 50 miles from the park at Walshingham up to Tarpon Springs and back...

- and the cafe was CLOSED! don't understand this... i really, really hope that it doesn't go under, 'cause it is right on the trail and you can eat at a table close to your bikes in the rack out front... (i.e., no lock required)...

Wimp.

I'm still up for a St. Pete ride. I was thinking of riding out to the beach. Anyone know if it's possible to cross the draw bridges at night?

Trust me, I'd much rather be riding tonight then preparing for a presentation tomorrow. As for the bridges, I see no reason why you couldn't cross it at night. That would be a long ride to get out to the beach from downtown St. Pete though.

Yea... I rode over the bridges a couple weeks ago when I was down there. I rode down 5th to the campus, and then went from there. I think it is about 12-13 miles. Not too much.

LOL.

Alright, Dwight just called me and said he's still in for a ride this Sunday. He said he has some work stuff until about 3PM so is everyone cool if we get started around 4? As long as we park somewhere open later we should be fine with an equally long ride as the lat one. Everyone still in for Sunday right?

Scotty...are you going tonight? Any chance you'll make it out on Sunday?

I'm still at work, waiting for a 1Tb disk image to finish. I'm hoping to get out of here by 9:00. If anyone plans on coming down tonight, let me know. I don't think I have any real responsibilites at the house tonight.
