Athens, GA Hills

I'm just curious about the grade percentages on hills. I don't have a frame of reference so I'm unable to look at a hill and say, well, that's roughly x%. All I can do is think, "Dang, that's gonna hurt."

For example, does anyone know more or less what the % on the hill running up Baxter street from the Tate Center is? Or either of the hills on Lumpkin, for that matter?

It doesn't matter, I'm just wondering.

Thanks.

I don't know what the grade is, but whenever I look at that hill I think "Dang, that's gonna hurt."

Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Okay, I fooled around with Toporoute and It looks like the Baxter street hill is around 8.0% to 8.5%.

I think it did it right.

That hill is nasty, another good one is off Barnett Shoals (the old Barnett Shoals) by the Golf course near Watkinsville (I think its called "Creekside").
