Got in 106 today.
24 miles after work.
Got in 30 miles of riding today. Just running errands and the like.I did pass a long line at the gas station in Pisgah Forest.
26 miles... first time w/ clipless - spd. it's a lot easier to deal with than I would have thought... more float than I expected. Good otherwise.
...managed to sneak in 43 miles, between the raindrops today. Rinse, lather, repeat for tomorrow.
6am Sunday morning 47 mile loop on my mtb - 3 hours even. Only thing noteworthy was that the high voltage lines were especially noisy.
I got in a nice 33-miler with the local store ride with 30-40 riders. The temperatures were nice in the 60s and wind was light enough to not be noticeable. If the humidity was lower, it would have been perfect riding weather. We did a brisk clip of 19.1 mph and I think I could have pushed it a bit more--at least while tucked away in a big group. You gotta love it on days like these.

Now was that 47 miles on the road, or the trails? In either case, doing it on a mtn bike in 3hrs, that's pretty impressive.
It took me 2:36 to pound out my 43 miles on Saturday (over the road on a road bike); ten miles of which, are uphill at about 6% grade. At least I no longer need to use my granny-gear for any of 'em; something I couldn't say, back when I began biking 4 mos ago.
First "real" ride on the new bike after about ten years of not exercising and getting older, fatter, and out of shape. Decided to be a "he-man" and ride from the house which sits on top of a ridge which means the only way home is up one mother of a grade. Did a blistering 11 mile ride in 57 minutes (with rests of course).:twitchy: Rolling terrain interspersed with several really bad short grades. My legs burned after only 30 minutes. Wow. Could not climb the hill up to the house. BUT I really enjoyed my ride and it felt great to be on a bike again. So I will keep plugging at it. Got a battery put in my heart rate monitor today so now I can see with even more technical clarity how bad I am out of shape.
Yes, I rode today. A training partner and I rode about twenty miles before work (from East Atlanta to downtown to Decatur and back to downtown). We turn a four mile commute into twenty miles. Starting Wednesday we're going to ride from East Atlanta to Stone Mountain to downtown (for a total of a bit over thirty miles).
Big time. My ride partner and I decided to increase the base mileage of our morning ride, so we bit off more than we could chew within the time we'd allotted. We rode from East Atlanta to Stone Mountain park. We didn't account for the fact that our return trip to our workplaces would be inbound during rush hour. Consequently I was late for work. No biggie, since I'd worked very late the previous evening, but if we're going to continue this ride I think we're going to have to start earlier, and give my miniNewt headlight a real workout.
Yes. I should have ridden much further, given how nice it was outside. Maybe tomorrow.
Being it Saturday just took a short run from North To South for a dance recital. Glad I made it and always nice to go just about anywhere you need to go on a bike don't you think?
Did my usual 43 mile ride yesterday and then again today.
I got in a 39 mile ride on the Ring of Fire. 4600' of climbing most of it steep.
about 155 miles for the weekend. 14th annual MS150 "Jack and Back" 714 riders, somewhere around $417k raised. pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v4...JackandBack08/
averaged 15 yesterday, and 16 today - thanks to riding some great pace-lines on and off for about half the day.
- simply amazing event.
