Visiting Nashville in August 08
Hey there... I'll be coming to Nashville for a conference Aug 24 - 28... needless to say this disrupts my routine and I need to find a way to at LEAST get into a Spin Class somewhere! I'll be staying at the Gaylord Opryland... and google maps shows me nothing close to the resort. Anyone got any suggestions on the following?:
1) A Gym (that will accept guests) that has an early morning spin class close to the Gaylord Opryland
2) A cycling club or folks that might be interested in letting me ride with them in the morning (obviously I won't have my bike there - it as to stay in San Diego as I'm on a big ride as soon as I get back that weekend)
Thanks in advance for ANY help ANYONE can give me!

Is the conference in the hotel as well, or downtown?
There are two greenways which connect relatively close to the Gaylord
(google for "shelby bottoms greenway" and "stones river greenway"-don't be confused by the other stones river greenway in murfreesboro). The Shelby is a ride into downtown after crossing the newly-completed pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland
River.
Some of the local shops will lease bikes, although I'm not sure exactly who. Check with Cumberland Transit, Jolly Cyclist/Bike Pedlar, Nashville Bicycle or Eastside Cycles- all should be easily google-able.
