Tour de Tugaloo
Tour de Tugaloo Saturday November 1
I did this ride last year and it is beautiful country. There were a little over 100 riders last year, probably a few more this year. Forest colors ought to wonderful.

up date from the tour news.
We have a special treat to help work out the post ride knots and and other aches and pains - 4 massage tables will be available for 15 minute sessions, staffed by students of the North Georgia Technical College Therapeutic Massage program. There is no official charge for this treat, however, tips would help these students as they make you feel better after a fantastic day on your bike.
The weather forecast looks great at this point !!!
Sat Nov 1 Sunny High 65° to 68° Rain Chance 0%

Hey Sedges, I plan on doing this ride with my 11 year old daughter. It'll be her longest ride so far. (We're doing the 20.5 mile option.) She's really excited about it.
Can you tell me how hilly this route will be? Do we get tables with snacks and drinks or are we not going far enough?
Also, same day registration is fine, right?
Thanks!

Yes! The short route has two SAG stops with water, snacks and toilets. It has one long, but easy hill and a few short easy ones. It is mostly flat with beautiful views of the river/dry lake. There were lots of children on that loop last year and they had great fun. See you there! I'll be the bearded one in the green hockey helmet on the old black Trek 820 . I do the short loop, too, with some extra out and back runs, plus I ride from home to the start and back from the finish. I might do 35 total.

Just wanted to give an update. This ride was great. A little cold in the beginning but beautiful trees, incredibly well marked course, great snack tables, and very friendly people. This is now one of my favorite rides.
Good meeting you too Sedges!

Sure was a beautiful day, a wonderful route and lots of good people to enjoy it. I did about 35 miles, We had at least 175 ride, way more then anticipated. Credit to the organizer, Duane Mahon, being so well prepared. Good to meet you and your daughter tbdean. I am glad she enjoyed the ride!
