Tour De La Farnce, Anderson, SC Sat. Sept. 5

Sorry this is so late but it has just been pulled together and of course, it is for a great cause.

There will be an autographed picture of Lance on his bike that was sent to us by his association autioned at the end of the ride.
Next year a sanctioned race in the works that will take place along with the ride.
Details for this year are in the link.
Hoping for a couple hundred riders minimum.

It was a nice ride. a little strange that it was not a standard loop. They used us like "critical mass" to claim the streets. My "rabbit" said she rode 18 mph. A good pace for me! They staged the ride to promote Complete Streets.
a Clydesdale just doesn't describe my style. It's way to gentle...Started at 326 pounds April 08...
Secret Santa gave me a old mountain bike - I killed it after 200 miles.
... bought another mountain bike and bent the back axle after 200 miles,
... used the income tax refund for the Sirrus Sport and love going to and from work. The Upstate of South Carolina is a beautiful place to ride. 265 lbs June09

Thanks for riding and for commenting. It was a beautiful morning for a ride and there were over 100 participants. It used a rolling road block like bike races and actually plans are already in the making to have a sanctioned race along with the ride next year. The purpose was to bring awarness to "Complete Streets" and raise funds ($6000) for the Anderson Cancer Association.
