Suppose to get rain from middle GA up starting Tuesday evening for the rest of the week with thunderstorms on Thursday.
Hopefully you will be riding between the storms or they will move out before you get that far north.

Thank you Grim for the weather report.. Had a great ride Sunday. Got into Acadia at 3:20. This is a credit card tour. Stayed at the Knights Inn. My son Austin is making the trip driving. He will drive ahead and find good/reasonable lodging. More later...............Glenn

No internet in Dade City. Stayed at the Rainbow Fountain Motel/Dade city. It's 4 miles south of the Withlacoochee south entrance. Hardly anybody on the trail today. Did talk
to a cycletourist that started in Northern Cali. heading to Key West. I forgot to ask if had a journal on CGOAB. Got into Chiefland at 3:30 via 19. The last 6 miles were under contruction with only one lane/pretty hairy..I will be into Ga tomorrow..Glenn

Glenn.......Hope the weather holds out for you. I didn't realize you were doing a credit card tour this trip. Makes your daily milage goals a little more achieveable. I plan on doing a short tour this weekend with my son on the Pinellas and Suncoast trail up to the JB Wilderness area. First time for my son on a road bike. Should be fun. Keep us posted as to your progress.

Are you sticking with 27 all the way up from Warm springs?

I was thinking of a ride on the Silver Comet Sunday. What time do you think you will be coming through Cedartown GA? Maybe we will cross paths.

Mike, Nice to hear about you and your son...Will keep you posted..

Grim, Not sure on on 27. I've been using Google walking directions to this point but they get a little confusing around town. Once I get into Ga I was going to use the Ga bicycle map provided by the state. If I don't get a cars front bumper delivered to my hind quarters, I will be through Cedartown around 9:30 am..

Made it to Georgia. Got into Lake Park around 4 pm. Took 129 from Chiefland. Very good 6' shoulder all the way with moderate traffic. The only negative was the last few miles on
41 from the Ga line to Lake park had no shoulder. It would have been fine if not during work traffic. Glenn

Had a great ride with him. He enjoyed it enough that he is looking to buy a road bike. Looking forward to more rides with him. I'm headed to Franklin, Nc next Thursday for a short (10 days) trip and will be taking my touring bike and leaving it up there for the summer. Really looking forward to touring/camping on the back country roads in the mountains. When are you headed back to Florida ?

I'm back in Naples Mike. Are you coming back south after the 10 day trip//let's get together for and overniter........?

Just a note: I'm using Bontrager X Racelite/hardcase. Not one flat...Rome to Aurora:400mi- Naples to Rome: 610 miles-200 mi a wk around town: 2400 miles. I can still feel the tread ridge on the back tire. I'm sure I just Jinxed myself with this mention.

Yes... I will be back around April 3rd but will be leaving my touring bike in North Carolina. My other bike is a carbon bike with no means of installing a rack. I may be able to borrow my sons hybrid which would probably work for a short overnighter. I will get back to you when I get back. Plan to head north for the summer in early May.

Okay, sounds good Mike. I also may be making the trip to NW GA again the beginning of May trying the new BICYCLE Route mode/Google maps...............Glenn

Also: You can put The following rack on your road bike: Axiom Streamliner. It mounts on your skewer and brake bolt..
