Tomorrow - Saturday, March 27 CSC Spring Training Ride

    Sorry for the mucho-late post.

    Saturday, March 27
    CSC Spring Training Ride

    RIDE START TIME: 9:00AM

Whether you're new to riding, a weekend warrior looking for a fun ride with great support or training for an upcoming bike race, the CSC Spring Training is open to cyclists of all abilities. The event is being held THIS Saturday, March 27. The weather looks great for the 11th annual event.

The CSC Spring Training Ride is a great ride for cyclists of all abilities. We have three exciting routes on lightly traveled roads that will offer participants three different route lengths: 30 miles, 55 miles and 70 miles. Each route will be colored coded, VERY well marked and supported with loaded rest stops and sag support vehicles. The rest stop on the 30 mile route and the second stop on the 55 and 70 mile route will have a restroom.

After the event, stick around and enjoy food and fellowship with your riding pals. We will have tons of great food after the ride.

    Harrisburg Elementary with indoor potties
    Harrisburg, NC
    30, 55 & 70 mile marked routes
    Rest stops and sag support
Lots of great food to follow the ride.
In light of the recent tragedy with Adam Little, the Giordana-Clif Bar Cycling Team will be donating a portion of the proceeds of this event to the Little family. We will also accept any additional donations for the Little family.
Onsite Registration will open at: 7:30AM
    Ride Start Time: 9:00AM
We will separate the 55/70 mile start from the 30 mile start.

We have opened online registration for those who would like to save money and register online.

$15 for online registration and $20 at the event.

I plan on being there. It was a really good event last year, with a great lunch waiting on us.

Yes. Neal is our (Giordana Clif Bar) team manager. He organizes a ton of races and events from road to mountain biking. You will not find any one in NC who works harder to keep our sport alive and kicking.

    He cooks all the soup.

A great ride today. Low traffic, road conditions very good considering the winter that we had, a good turnout and terrific food. My complements to "substructure"(I finally got to meet him) and all the people helping with today's event (there appeared to be plenty). It was most enjoyable. I could not find Neal after the ride to complement him but, the soup was outstanding, as well as all the pasta dishes. It was obvious a lot of effort went into today's event.

And that lead group....whew! Were they fast, or were they fast?

A good ride today. I said "Hi" to substructure! How many riders?
No rider of a bicycle shall remove both hands from the handlebars, or feet from the
pedals, or practice acrobatic or fancy riding on any street or public highway.

Unfortunately, not as many as we expected. We blame the unusual cold morning.
About 200 registered. We were hoping for 400.
