What bike are you getting?

Since you're posting in the Southeast Regional subforum, you gotta tell me why you don't you like the term Dixie. Dixie is where I was born.

No riding today. Still way too much of this white crap everywhere and ice on most of the streets. We're supposed to have rain on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe that will wash this crap away.

We went mb riding out in the preserve near us twice last weekend and hubby did really well. However, after pt this last Wednesday he is having severe pain. (he had rotator cuff surgery in mid Nov) He is now back in a sling and can hardly raise his arm at all. He is going back to the doc on Wednesday. Just hoping it's a minor setback. However, we're both concerned that it's become detached and they may have to do surgery again. Only bike riding I will be doing for awhile is the spinner at the gym

Why didn't I ride today? Hmm... pick one:

a) It's raining
b) It's cold (well it is for Florida! )
c) I'm lazy
d) did I mention it's raining?
e) all of the above

At least I'm almost far enough along cleaning my office to get the windtrainer set up where I can see the computer screen. That's *something*, right?

No ride yesterday. I was sick as a dog Monday night. Got 2 hours sleep.
Rain/drizzle and cool today. Got my fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Ron, I hope you get to feeling better.

Weatherman calling for 70% chance of rain here today so I guess I will use this as a rest day. I hope things clear up for the weekend.

lessee.. it's dark and cold when I leave for work.. and it's dark and cold when I get home. Toss in the white stuff... rain.. .. so, that's why I haven't ridden today (or nearly any other day) and I probably won't ride tomorrow, or the day after that... or even the week after that. hurry up spring!!

What RonH said!

I looked like a drunk driver getting blown around driving down the Macon GA today in my Cheby van.

I will get tomorrow out of the way. Don't like low 20's!

Friday is looking promising.

Played hurry up and wait for somebody most of the day today. By the time they made it, it was getting too late to ride Was supposed to be a 3pm appointment by the Palatka Lake Butler trail that didn't happen until about 5pm .... I did see 6 cars parked in Grandin near the trail... Cool to see people getting out and using the trail.

Well, I did commute to work 2 days last week but haven't ridden since. I even missed the beautiful weekend because I was helping my BF move. The rides last week made me wonder if I was totally over my cold. So very slow. Felt like I was pedaling through mud. Gave the bike a once over and nothing is dragging, rubbing, etc. I'm going to see if I can get in some shorter rides on the road bike this weekend.

Monson going on when I left for work.
Saturday is my youngest birth day so its shot Sunday is looking good for an afternoon ride and hopefully I can get my new Sunday rider assembled sometime this weekend.

I have got to start getting some miles in! I have the GA ride to the capital ride coming in March. The Tour de Cure is May 15th and the MS Atlanta to Athens ride is May 21-22 and I have been wanting to do that one fore several years. The "Fred" (as is the original "Fred") Birchmore trail day is also in May and it would be really cool if it fell on that weekend and people could be swayed to ride by. He just turned 99 in Nov.

I will have to pick one or the other. Hitting up people for two rides a week apart is is going to be hard. I think the MS ride may win this year.

Well, Got a call this morning even before I got moving or doing anything, a friend was broke down. So had to hunt up a chain, air up tires, check fluids, gather some tools together. My old truck doesn't get driven that much, so have to do all that when I want to use it.... doh!! Four or five hours later I had her towed home, and the starter out of her car and a new one ordered. So that put me way behind on work I had to get done. Before I knew it, it was dark and the day had just went POOF!! So no ride.... But I am looking forward to putting the starter back in tomorrow.... NOT!! LOL

no riding today. Was supposed to be 30% chance of rain. Guess we got the 30% all day as it started at about 10 and wnet on until 5 or so. Hopefully we can get out tomorrow for a short one even though they are calling for 75% rain.

Snow this morning. Might ride in Friday but its going to be mid 20's. Will ride at least one day this weekend if not both. Weather is suppose to improve starting today.
I guess let me get next week out of the way.

Monday I have a doctors appointment right after work because my new doctor is holding my prescriptions hostage. He damn well better have this as a wellness check up or a physical so I don't have to pay the copay. Wife made the appointment so I don't know what it is set up as. I could ride it but not sure yet.

The rest of next week is shot. I have to go on a road trip with my boss. Going great places like Charleston SC and Savannah GA but since he is going he has decided instead of driving my Full size company cargo van where I could easily bring a bike we are driving his "more comfortable" company trail blazer. He "has it all planned out" aka where the company is going to be footing the bills for our dinners where we can maximize our buying power by splitting the bill.

I'd rather catch something quick and ride in a new place in the evenings. Might catch me at the Crab shack on Tybee Wednesday night.

It's wet, it's cold, there is snow every where and I don't want to get my tires dirty or my fingers frozen.... And that's all I have to say about that.
