I'm back from the dead and picked up the Cannondale from the shop today so tomorrow I'll be out checking out the "repair" to the bike.

Sherry said all she found was "enough sand to fill a sandbox". She put some clear silicone around the two holes in the BB area. I hope that takes care of that problem.

No riding while we were out of town. Got home and rode twice. Then my wife came down with the flu last Sunday. I was doing ok taking care of her until Thursday afternoon when I started feeling crappy. Today I feel like its mostly behind me. Maybe I'll get to ride this week. MRI early Tuesday morning but perhaps when I get home I can ride. [fingers crossed]

I have the best excuse: I bought a bike today. Needed milk too, and Sam's Club had dozens of free samples.

My spinal stenosis is rearing it's ugly head so no riding for the past few days and none until I see the pain doc next Tuesday. He always seems to be able to work magic on my spine that lasts for 4-5 months. I should be out riding Wednesday morning.

I decided to pass on riding today. Getting ready for the rain and wind. It looks like it may get close to my house.

I'm about 8-10 miles from the Gulf but we're still supposed to get high winds and rain.

elevation above sea level? any basement to take shelter in from damaging winds? when hurricane Bob came thru MA, way back whenever, Wifey & I sat on the basement steps cuz we wanted to stay away from the water we were getting down there. only a few inches of water which I pumped out the next day. a woman was killed it her car down the street from our house by a falling tree. we were evacuated from a campsite on Cape Cod & should have gone to a local school shelter out there. driving home just north of the storm after they closed the canal bridge was the dumbest thing I ever did

No one in FL has a basement except maybe in north FL. We're 120 feet above sea level so we aren't worried. Plus we live on a small hill so all the rain will drain down onto our neighbor's property.

Good planning.

Hope you're all OK.
We're welcoming the outer rain bands right now, and will get wind remnants later. Nothing like what you had.

I took advantage of the dry, cool weather here this weekend to paint one complete bike ('72), touch up another ('74), and paint a new (to me) fork to go on an '80 bike. Good to get projects under way.

Hmmm, Thursday afternoon a plant a few miles upwind from us released hydrochloric acid into the atmosphere closing schools Friday...so I didn't ride figuring I'd let the air clear. Saturday my granddaughters were here all day. Sunday, no time. Today, the leading edge of Irma's rain is here. Guess I need to designate a foul weather bike.

No riding today. Went to the dermatologist and had the blue light special (pre-skincancer treatment). He said no direct sun exposure (for more than a few minutes at a time) for 72 hours. Since I live in sunny Florida my next ride will be Friday. Guess I can clean the bikes in the garage for the next few days. Actually my wife has a few indoor tasks on her list.

There is a REALLY good chance I won't be out this week. The temperatures are supposed to be COLD for west central Florida.

01-02-2017 and it is 11°F in the nothwest Atlanta suburbs.

My daughter has developed some allergic reaction, probably just a latex allergy. She is staying at college so she can work but I need to pick her up and get her to the doctor.

We were also able to bundle an eye checkup for her on the same day so I'll probably take a personal day from work on Wednesday and exercise the turbo Subaru on the highway a bit. The turbo should appreciate the cold air.

We have an annual Jan 1 Donut ride (the Bham Bike Club). I woke up to 14F temp (feels like 2). Went out and took down Christmas lights, and my fingers were getting numb even without movement. Decided no way was I going to ride.

So I was a no-show. I did see a pic posted where 7 hardy souls did show.

Didn't ride on the trainer today or outside today. Feeling crappy from a long weekend, plus a job interview tomorrow has me nervous. That is if Snowmageddon 2018 stays away.

I didn't ride today because I locked my keys and phone inside my car and walked home, four miles @ 24°F.

Actually felt kinda nice to get a different kind of exercise for a change, but still.
