North Georgia "Ten Gap" 200K... aurguably America's toughest?
The ride is an ACP and RUSA sanctioned 200K brevet put on by Audax Atlanta. It's coming up on September 11th.
The ride is also known as Bundrick's Revenge by the local randonneurs... here's a great writuep about the ride.
You can read up a little about randonneuring and sign up at the Audax Atlanta website.

Interesting. I just signed up for Six Gap - it only took me five years and a move to NC for my schedule to work out right - and I plan to go up Brasstown as a little "kicker" to the route. No ride plans next weekend, but I do have other plans. Hmmm...

lol, well personally I am not in any shape to do either, but I want to argue that guy in the write up a bit. There is a large runner population here. however there are not a lot of races. Many folks resort to going to california to race. Everyone I have ever talked to who trains here but races in california says it feels as if they have grown a third lung when they go to sea level.

Tagging onto this old thread-----does anyone know if they still run this ride? sounds like a killer as I am pretty familiar with that area---just haven't done Six Gaps on official day but the out and back to Brasstown with the hard side of Hogpen on the return truly must make for a lot of pain!!

Get ready for some climbing. It's 15,000 feet of climbing over the 200K course... and a couple of the guys in Audax Atlanta have ridden it on fixed gear bikes!
Contact Andy Akard for details... you should be able to find him through the RUSA web site.
