Highlands Bike Fest December 10-12

Who's coming to Sebring? Check us out at www.kenilworthlodge.com Rides from 12 miles to metric centuries on Friday and Sunday and the highlands century on Saturday. Our club will be out marking the roads this weekend in preparation for the event. We've got lots of people, plenty of food, well planned routes with little traffic and well stocked rest stops. This year the Highlands Pedalers have increased their role in the running of the event and plan to make this one the best ever.

You folks in the city need to come see how great it is to ride in the middle of nowhere.

Red what is the terrain, flat, hilly, flat with rollers? I really would like to do the Sunday metric ride with my daughter. She is a real flatlander so some climbing would be a no no for her. Do they post the maps some place where I could take a look at the rt.

Hello Red,

I will be there on Saturday morning only, on my yellow Catrike with the ham radio on it. Driving up from Okeechobee on Saturday at O'dark-thirty for the ride and to pick up my new club jersey from Bob. Will look for you there! SloSpokeJim, the rides are mostly flats with rollers on the longer rides. I come from the 'pool table flat' part of Florida and enjoy getting to Sebring to find some hills to ride. Hope to see you there!

Having just been to the "Horrible Hundred" and seen what a real hill looks like I'd have to say what we have is rollers we have very few grades of more than 4 %. Lots of routes through the orange groves and cattle ranches with very little car traffic.
See you there.
