New to south east, when can I expect warmer weather (NOLA)

Hey all, I just caught the edge of what was some super nice riding weather when I moved down here, when can I expect the New Orleans area to make the transition to steady warmth. Initially it was beautiful here, maybe four months or so ago, I bought my first road bike and life was good.

I took the time during the concession to build up my bike and now I want to ride. I have heard the levee is a good place to ride so went to check it out but the wind and cold made it almost unbearable and I may have gotten an hour out of it.

So when will it get warm? Where are the best spots to ride?

As far as rides, go to mapmyride.com and search your area for posted rides. There should be several listed for your area.
