Guys in NORTH WEST FLORIDA: Please look at this route-

Guys in Northwest Florida- Look over this route for me:
http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/35100114

We usually stay in Rosemary Beach for spring break. I have ridden on 98 west of Inlet Beach. I am not so sure about east of Inlet Beach and the new bridge north over that bay? 331/83?
Is the traffic too crazy? Are there bike lanes on that bridge?
Please let me know if you have done this route!

I've ridden many times over the Inlet Beach/Carrillion Beach 98 bridge. No official bike lanes, but wide enough shoulders so it's not a problem. I usually stay in Seagrove, and will ride over to Laguna to grab doughnuts at Thomas's; and also ride 98/30A down to Destin.

Your route - I don't recall bike lanes on the 331 bridge, nor lanes that continue all the way up to route 20. And it's been a while since I've driven 20 east towards PC, but some sections of 20 are awfully busy.

Last year I decided to ride a couple Saturday rides with the Emerald Coast Cycling Club. Had to drive to the ride starts, but the roads were very low traffic off the beach, and even had some mild rollers. They do have some mid-week rides as well.

Followup - I was in the area for my daughter's Alys Beach Digital Graffitti showing. The designated bike lanes end on 331 headed N from 98 just before the bridge, but the shoulders are plenty wide on the bridge and I didn't see any non-motorized prohibitions posted. The speed limit on 331 on this stretch all the way to 20 is 55mph, however, and some of the shoulders N of the bridge are not as wide. I did not take 20 E, so I still can't comment on that part of the route.
