Huntington,West Virgina- LouisVille Kentucky- Is there a safe route?
Im trying to get from Huntington,West Virgina- Louisville Kentucky.
Has anybody that has biked this area before know of a route with a decent amount of shoulder room without adding on too many extra miles?
I've been told most of the larger roads are pretty scary.

You might contact the Bluegrass Cycling Club in Lexington https://www.bgcycling.org/
or the Louisville Bicycle Club https://www.louisvillebicycleclub.org/
I know parts of US60 are not too bad, and there are tons of roads to pick from in rural areas (little traffic).

The most direct route is U.S. 60 and I've driven that many times. Some parts have quite a bit of traffic and others not so much. If I recall correctly, the parts with the least traffic is where the highway is close to I-64, and there is little to no shoulder on those sections.
