Ride suggestions for Richmond, VA area

I have recently moved to the Richmond area. Does anyone have any suggestions for routes in the area?

I ride in Richmond on occasion since I have some family there. The Richmond Area Biking Assoc (RABA) lists quite a few routes on their website right here. I also ride the Heart of Va bike festival event which they host out of Ashland. This event has really nice routes and is well organized (with a superb lunch).

My friend lives up in Glen Allen and is a road biker. He loves the back roads up there and around Ashland, Va. Bike Route 1 runs through that area. You should check it out.
